Morning Glory: CLAIRE FERCAK

 

CLAIRE FERCAK is a French writer. In 2007, Claire published her first novel Rideau de Verre to rave reviews. She followed up this powerful performance with an inventive fictional tale about the rock band The Smashing Pumpkins entitled Tarantula Boxed Set which led to a collaboration with Billy Corgan (the band’s frontman) on her next book, the poetic Chants Magnétiques. Claire, a multi-talented and innovative young writer has just published Louga et la maison imaginaire, her first children’s book.

WHAT TIME DO YOU WAKE UP?

8am. But I wake up several times during the night, especially when I’m in the middle of writing a book.

WHAT DO YOU HAVE FOR BREAKFAST?

Coffee, whole wheat bread with apricot jam. And I always drink a glass of orange juice, freshly squeezed by my sweetheart.

ONE WORD THAT DESCRIBES YOUR MOOD IN THE MORNING?

Pensive.
