JENNIFER MEIER is a graduate of the California Culinary Academy . Jennifer spent a decade working in restaurants and wine and cheese shops in Seattle, San Francisco, New York and LA. She recently left the world of food and wine in order to write about it full-time. Jennifer has the very cool title of “Cheese Guide” for the website Cheese.about.com and blogs about her life in recipes at The (Modern) Busy Girls’ Cookbook.  She has developed recipes for two cookbooks, The Primal Blueprint Cookbook and Primal Blueprint Quick and Easy Meals, and contributes to various food-related websites.

WHAT TIME DO YOU WAKE UP?
Always out of bed by 7am during the week and now that I have a baby, the same goes for weekends
WHAT DO YOU HAVE FOR BREAKFAST?
Coffee first. Followed by a piece of toast then a little later some cold cereal or oatmeal. But I always wish I was eating a scone.
ONE WORD THAT DESCRIBES YOUR MOOD IN THE MORNING?
Groggy
WHAT GETS YOUR JUICES FLOWING?
Interacting with creative people. Good music. Long conversations with my husband over cocktails. Being on vacation long enough to shake off the stress of regular life. On a daily basis,  just getting out of the house for a walk or cup of coffee helps – this is especially important now that I work from home.
